Well done to our football team who reached the quarter-finals of the 5-a-side tournament at Gerrans on Friday afternoon.  They got off to a great start with a 5-0 victory in their first game, before narrowly losing 1-0 in their second match to finish second in their group.  The quarter-final was a close contest.  The team once again demonstrated their determination and great effort as they came back from a goal down to take the match into extra-time and the golden goal.  Unfortunately, Gorran found a way through and scored the goal to see them through to the semi-finals.  However, our team can be very proud of the way they performed in the tournament and we look forward to the next competition at the end of the month.
